Life within the cracks

We humans tend to think of cracks with negative connotations. Cracks signify something broken, something eroded, something damaged.  Sometimes we relate pieces of our lives to cracks if things seem to broken in our paths.

We are quick to discard or rid ourselves of these ‘cracks’ by means of some type of ‘renovation’. What we seem to miss is that rich beauty and life can exist in these cracks.  History can be found there also, as can knowledge and wisdom.

It is through our misfortunes, our mistakes and through lifes’ little break downs that we become stronger, we learn more about ourselves and about others.  It is through surviving the worst that we often become our best.

This succulent plant was found flourishing within a crack in the pavement.  Now doesn’t that just say it all?
